Comprehensive fertility service
Bourn Hall Norwich is discreetly located on the outskirts of the city in the village of Wymondham with a further satellite clinic at Kings Lynn. It provides a comprehensive fertility service including NHS and self-funded fertility investigations and treatment right through to IVF if required.
Fertility testing is used to find the reason for the infertility. This will include blood tests such as FSH and AMH to check that you are producing eggs (ovulating) regularly and a pelvic scan to confirm your tubes are clear and there are no fibroids in your womb. Semen analysis will be used to check that there are sufficient sperm of good quality and they are swimming freely.
These tests are available as a package with consultancy or an individual basis as required.
Fertility testing is also available through the NHS and your GP can refer you to our clinic for level 2 investigations – so you can have all your testing and treatment at the same place with a team that knows you by name.
Fertility treatments include: medication to stimulate egg production (ovulation induction) and intrauterine insemination (IUI) where the partners sperm or donated sperm is inserted where it needs to be.
A small number of people will require IVF treatment. This involves collecting the eggs, mixing them with sperm to create embryos which are transferred to the womb for immediate treatment or frozen for later. It may be that ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is also required, this is where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg and is often used where a male factor has been diagnosed.
Bourn Hall also operates an egg and sperm donation programme and an egg sharing programme. For couples or individuals unable to use their own eggs or sperm.
Every single member of our staff at our Norwich clinic – the receptionists, nurses, doctors, embryologists – will provide all the support you need during your time with us. We also provide free fertility counselling for patients at the clinic or via telephone/skype.

Private and NHS-funded treatment
Bourn Hall holds the contract to provide NHS-funded IVF treatment in the whole of the East of England so if you live in Norfolk and are eligible for NHS-funded treatment you can ask to be referred to the Norwich Clinic for your treatment. If you are funding your own IVF treatment you can book an appointment directly with us.
