Yes, it is fine to have sexual intercourse, however it must be protected sexual intercourse (by using an external or internal condom during sex) from day one of your period in the month your treatment cycle is planned to start and throughout your treatment. This is because you will be taking medication that may increase the risk of miscarriage if taken in early pregnancy.
Ahead of some testing and procedures we will ask that you abstain from intercourse. Your nursing team can give you advice based on your personal treatment and testing if in doubt.
