Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse, Bev has worked in many areas of Primary Healthcare, ranging from both acute and chronic settings gaining valuable healthcare experience as well as time within a Commercial setting providing her with a different, but complementary skillset.

Following her personal journey of many years of fertility treatment, Bev developed a passion for fertility nursing and has a drive and desire to provide support to couples experiencing this same journey.

She has gone on to become a qualified Fertility Nurse Consultant specialising in the field of Reproductive Medicine, having now worked in this field for over 20 years. She has gained valuable experience working in several fertility units within the region, most recently developing and expanding a local Cambridge service.

A Fertility Nurse Research role enabled Bev to train as a Sonographer specialising in Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy and has developed a specialist interest in 3D ultrasound.

Bev has a particular passion for training colleagues in ultrasound and is a registered trainer for the British Fertility Society. She regularly delivers group training sessions in this field and has supported many practitioners to learn a new skill or expand their skills in ultrasound.

As part of Bev’s passion for ensuring patients care and treatment is at the forefront of the latest developments, she has a keen interest in research and development and has gone on to submit her own research paper exploring the effect of the use / timing of use of Lutenising Hormone in an IVF cycle.

She is an active member of the Senior Infertility Network Group and regularly attends Fertility Conferences to ensure she remains abreast of the developments within Reproductive Medicine.

Bev said: “ I am thrilled and proud to be working as part of the Bourn Hall Family and look forward to supporting couples in their fertility journey. I am hoping that by using the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the years I will continue to provide outstanding care and support for couples during their fertility journey”.
