Julie Field

Fertility Counsellor

I am an Independent Practitioner and joined the excellent team at Bourn Hall in 2021. I have had personal experience of infertility and I believe this gives me great passion and empathy to work within this sector.

As a Fertility Counsellor, I can provide support for you and your emotional needs. It can be a helpful way to reduce fears associated with infertility and can help you look for ways to cope – and to regain your sense of self. This may be associated with a forthcoming treatment or maybe an acceptance in the fact that your life may be altered compared to how you originally perceived it.  I can help you explore your feelings in a safe and confidential way.

Similarly, infertility issues can put great pressure on close relationships. Studies show that partners dealing with infertility can feel unhappy with themselves and their relationship. It is important to express feelings of loss, sadness and anger and as a qualified Relationship Counsellor I can help you navigate this.

I run a Private Practice in Norfolk and can currently offer sessions via telephone or video. When the situation allows, I will also offer face to face sessions at Bourn Hall’s Norwich clinic.
