Clinical Commissioning Groups

Your GP surgery is part of a Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Each determines its own eligibility criteria and the number of IVF cycles that it will fund via the NHS.

Some CCGs in the East of England do not fund any IVF treatment and others offer from one two or three cycles, depending on which GP practice you are registered with.

A full list of the CCGs is available on the NHS England website, where you can also check which CCG covers your GP.

Your GP will arrange for you to visit a local referral centre, which may offer you diagnostic tests, initial treatment, or refer you for NHS-funded IVF treatment at a specialised centre, such as Bourn Hall.
